Wong Poh Kam is Emeritus Professor at NUS Business School and LEE KUAN YEW School of Public Policy. He obtained two BSc.’s, an MSc. and a Ph.D. from MIT. He has published extensively in leading international refereed journals on entrepreneurship and innovation, and was ranked among the top 2% most highly cited scholars in the world by AD Scientific Index in 2020-22. He has also consulted widely on innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem development policies for various international agencies including the World Bank, OECD, Asian Development Bank and WIPO, various government agencies in Singapore including MTI, EDB, ASTAR, Min. of Law, MPA and IPOS, and many private corporations in Asia. He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at U.C. Berkeley, a visiting scholar at Stanford University, Oxford University, Korea University and GRIPS in Japan, and a Pacific Leadership Fellow at UC San Diego.
Besides his academic position, he was concurrently the Director of NUS Entrepreneurship Centre from August 2001 until July 2019, where he created or provided academic leadership for several high-impact experiential entrepreneurship education programs, including the NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) program, the Technopreneurship Minor program for undergraduates in NUS, the NRF-funded National Lean Launchpad (LLP) Program on technology commercialization for professors and graduate students in the four leading universities in Singapore (2017-22), and the annual NUS Enterprise Summer Program on Entrepreneurship. He also advised the NUS Enterprise CEO on the strategic development of NUS Enterprise Incubator (NEI) program, including Block71 in Singapore, Indonesia, Suzhou and San Francisco. He has served on the investment committee of NUS Enterprise since its founding, and was a mentor to many tech start-ups incubated by NUS Enterprise. He initiated StartUp@Singapore, the largest annual business plan competition in Singapore (1999-2012), and the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia, the largest annual social entrepreneurship competition in Asia (2013-18). He also initiated and co-chaired the Modern Aging Accelerator, a joint program of NUS Enterprise and Access Health (2017-18), and the Port Innovation Ecosystem Re-imagined (PIER71), a joint program of NUS Enterprise and the Maritime Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore (2018-19). He is currently a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Asian School of Business (ASB) in Malaysia, an advisor to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Entrepreneurship Academy on entrepreneurship education, and an advisor to Hong Kong S&T Park (HKSTP) on the Lean Launcher Program.
An entrepreneur prior to joining academia, he has been an active angel investor in tech startups in Singapore, Silicon Valley and China. He was the founding chairman of Business Angel Network (Southeast Asia), and is an advisor to iGlobe Partners, a global VC fund based in Singapore. He received the Public Administration Medal (Silver) Award from the Singapore Government in 2013 for his contribution to entrepreneurship education in Singapore, and the “Entrepreneur for the World” Award (Educator Category) from the World Entrepreneurship Forum in 2015. He was a board member of the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) 2016-22, and is currently a board member of B-Lab Singapore, a non-profit organization that provides certification services for Singaporebased companies that seek to become B Corps (companies for doing good).

Dr. Basil Lui is the Founding Partner of AGP. Prior to this, he was an Advisor and Managing Partner at EDBI where he oversaw investments in Healthcare and Emerging Technologies. Basil was a key member of EDBI’s Investment Committee for ~50 investments with 10 exits. On the healthcare front, he was involved in several investments for EDBI, including Doctor Anywhere a full-stack online-offline healthcare service; Hummingbird Bioscience a clinical-stage precision medicine company; MiRXES a developer of RNA early disease detection tests; US2.ai an AI software platform for echocardiography to fight heart disease; and a pre-covid investment into mRNA vaccine platform Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA). Basil has a strong interest in regenerative technologies that can restore cellular health and resilience.
Additionally, Basil drove early stage deep-tech fund-of-funds investments at EDBI, covering regional healthcare funds, and as a LPAC member in portfolio funds, worked closely in partnership with funds to invest in Singapore and the region. He also spearheaded EDBI’s investments in areas that would have an impact on the future of healthcare and the bioeconomy such as synthetic biology, gene edits, robotics, AI, blockchain, AR and VR. Basil pioneered EDBI’s post-investment value creation and communications efforts, ensuring strong support to portfolio companies through market access, talent recruitment, strategic financing, partnership & guidance; and is often a speaker in global technology events and panels. On the blockchain front, Basil led investments into Bitmain, Bitdeer, Matrixport; is currently an advisor to Chainup and DTCpay; and a committee member of DBS Digital Exchange.
Prior to EDBI, Basil was a McKinsey consultant covering South East Asia, an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Keppel-NUS Corporate Laboratory, the APAC President of a global semiconductor electronic design automation company, an Assistant Professor at National University of Singapore Electrical & Computer Engineering, and a post-doctoral researcher at the Cambridge University Engineering Department. Basil is the inventor of several patents and holds a BA (1st class), MA and PhD from the University of Cambridge. He was awarded a Commonwealth scholarship, a Singapore Government Public Service Commission scholarship, and was the youngest Singaporean to win a Research Fellowship from Trinity College Cambridge.

Professor Harland is active in research across a broad range of topics related to sport, including measurement and instrumentation in sport, product design and development, injury prevention and simulation.
A number of projects have been concerned with sports footwear, apparel, protective gear and hard-goods, with particular focus on a wide range of hollow and solid sports balls.
Professor Harland’s research in soccer balls has been applied by adidas in tournament balls used in FIFA world cups since 2006 and UEFA European Championships since 2004 and his research in cricket helmet impacts underpinned the revision of the British Standard 7928:2013; Specification for Head Protection for Cricketers.
Professor Harland has partnered with a wide range of industrial, commercial and charitable bodies, including adidas, FIFA, England and Wales Cricket Board, International Cricket Council, BISFed and FIH.
Professor Harland has also supported a number of start-up businesses including Alcuris, Incus, Nymbl and Shot Scope and is keen to support ideas through to commercialisation.

Prof. Shen is a venture capital/private equity investor and business builder. Her technical expertise centers around emerging technologies, machine learning & AI, data economy, and cybersecurity. She has published books on technology and innovation and is a patent holder on detecting and locating unsecured sensors in critical infrastructures. With significant cross-functional experience that span venture capital/private equity investing, technology M&A, corporate finance/CFO, corporate strategy, technology and product innovation, operations, and go-to-market, She has extensive strategy, financial, and operational experience and deep knowledge in incubating, investing in, growing, and managing new businesses in both global public companies and early to growth technology startups. She has partnered with companies of all sizes to build strong teams, unlock growth levers, implement innovative technology and data science business cases, and establish strong financial, operational, and governance oversight for long-term success.
Prof. Shen currently serves as the Investment and Operating Partner at Tenfore Holdings, responsible for sourcing, investing in, and managing early to growth stage technology investments. Previously, she was the Global Managing Director in the Office of the CTO responsible for emerging technology strategy, startup partnerships, and venture investments at Thomson Reuters. Prior to Thomson Reuters, she was the founding Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer of IBM Cloud Platform responsible for a multi-billion P&L. Before that, Joyce led finance, operations, and acquisition integration of the $1 billion Collaboration and HR SaaS software business. She started her career in IBM M&A Corporate Development closing acquisitions over $6 billion in cloud, data management, and security. Prof. Shen serves on the boards of various technology companies.
She also serves on the innovation advisory council for the World Food Programme and was a member of the advisory board for Enterprise Estonia, Per Scholars, and Sponsors for Education Opportunity (SEO) Junior Leadership Board.
